UNICORN EBONY 4,25″ chess pieces

Another beautiful model from Staunton luxurious pieces collection. One cannot stand indifferently looking on the knight  of this model which resembles rather a majestic lion than an ordinary stallion. Compared to other models, this one features marvelously carved knight eyes. They seem to be extremly inteligent and look defiantly at the enemy  without any sign of fear. Carefully arranged mane along with the upright ears and a slightly open muzzle make this piece one of the most beautiful at all. Black pieces were made of precious ebony while the white ones on boxwood.
