Chess board no. 4+ (with description) ebony (marquetry)

Tournament chess board with description inlaid with maple or sycamore, which has undergone an ebony process. This has given the chess board an unusual appearance similar to chess boards made of precious ebony. It is a wonderful alternative to chess boards made of wenge wood.
The chessboard, which has an overall size of 44x44cm, features 45x45mm fields of light and blackened sycamore and is ideally suited to our small to medium sized 3.00″- 3.50” figures or Staunton No. 4 Staunton Figures No. 4 and No. 5 Staunton Figures No. 5

There are 4 felt pads on the underside of the chess board to ensure that it glides smoothly and remains stable on a table, desk or other hard and level surface.
Chess boards are widely recognised as professional chess boards. Most chess tournaments are played on chess boards with fields ranging from 50 to 58mm, international tournaments nowadays – on electronic boards.
